Notes

machine translationMuslim relied upon ʿAbdullāh b. Rabāḥ as evidence. This is a ḥadīth with a sound chain (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), though the two of them (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not include it. Authentic (ṣaḥīḥ).

  • Dāraquṭnī

machine translationQatādah narrates it, and there is disagreement about him. Shuʿbah and Hammām narrated it from Qatādah, from al-Ḥasan, from Ziyād b. Riyāḥ, from Abū Hurayrah. ʿImrān al-Qaṭṭān differed from them and narrated it from Qatādah, from ʿAbdullāh b. Riyāḥ, from Abū Hurayrah, and he did not mention al-Ḥasan. The first is more sound (aṣaḥḥ).
