✧ Marwan approached one day and found a man placing his face on the grave. He seized him by the neck and said, "Do you know what you are doing?" He said, "Yes." He turned to him, and behold, it was Abu Ayyub al-Ansari. He said, "I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, not to the stone. I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Do not weep over the religion when its people are in charge of it, but weep over it when someone other than its people is in charge of it.'"
