✧ When Hudhayfa b. al-Yaman was dying, some Bedouins came to him and said: "O Hudhayfa, we see you as one who is about to be taken." He said to them: "A joyful servant and a beloved one who came in need. He who regrets will not prosper. O Allah, I have not shared in a traitor's treachery, so I seek refuge with You today from an evil companion. People used to ask the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about good, but I used to ask him about evil. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, we were in evil, then Allah brought us good. Is there evil after that good?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'And is there good after that evil?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'How?' He said: 'After me there will be leaders who do not follow my guidance and do not act according to my Sunnah. Men will arise whose hearts are the hearts of men in the body of a human.' I said: 'What should I do if I live to see that?' He said: 'Listen to the supreme commander, even if he strikes your back and takes your wealth.'"
