✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ was taken on the Night Journey, he met Abraham, Moses, and Jesus (peace be upon them). They discussed the Hour, when it would be. They began with Abraham and asked him about it, but he had no knowledge of it. Then they asked Moses, but he had no knowledge of it. Then they returned the matter to Jesus. He said: Allah’s covenant to me regarding it is that only Allah ﷻ knows its appointed time. Then he mentioned the emergence of the Dajjal and said: I will descend and kill him. Then the people will return to their lands, and they will be met by Gog and Magog, who will come down from every slope. They will not pass by any water but drink it, nor by anything but corrupt it. They will cry out to me, and I will supplicate Allah, and He will cause them to die. The earth will stink from their odor, and they will cry out to me again, and I will supplicate Allah, and He will send rain from the sky, which will carry them and cast their bodies into the sea. Then the mountains will be pulverized, and the earth will be stretched out like a tanned hide. Allah’s covenant to me is that when that happens, the Hour will be to the people like a pregnant woman at full term whose household does not know when she will suddenly give birth, by night or by day. Al-‘Awwam said: I found confirmation of that in the Book of Allah ﷻ, then he recited: “Until, when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they descend from every height, and the true promise draws near” [Quran 21:96-97].
