✧ From the Prophet ﷺ regarding the barrier: He said: “They dig at it every day until, when they are about to break through it, the one in charge over them says, ‘Return, and you will break through it tomorrow.’ He said: Then Allah ﷻ restores it to the strongest it ever was. Until, when they reach their appointed time and Allah Most High wills, the one in charge over them says, ‘Return, and you will break through it tomorrow, if Allah Most High wills,’ and he makes an exception. He said: So they return, and it is as it was when they left it, then they break through it and come out upon the people. They drink up the waters, and the people flee from them. They shoot their arrows into the sky, and they return stained with blood. They say, ‘We have overcome the people of the earth and defeated those in the sky in power and elevation.’ He said: Then Allah ﷻ sends against them worms in their necks. He said: And they destroy them. He said: By the One in whose hand is the soul of Muhammad, the beasts of the earth will grow fat, become bloated, and express gratitude, and become intoxicated from their flesh.”
