✧ Islam will be effaced just as the embroidery of a garment is effaced, until it is not known what fasting, charity, or ritual sacrifice are. The Book of Allah will be taken up by night, and no verse of it will remain on earth. There will remain groups of people: the old man and the old woman, who say, "We found our forefathers upon this phrase: there is no god but Allah, so we say it." Silah b. Zufar said to Hudhayfah, "What does 'there is no god but Allah' avail them when they do not know what fasting, charity, or ritual sacrifice are?" Hudhayfah turned away from him. He repeated it to him three times, and each time Hudhayfah turned away from him. Then, on the third time, he turned to him and said, "O Silah, it saves them from the Fire."
