✧ "The signs are beads strung on a thread; when the thread is cut, they follow one another." Khalid b. al-Huwayrith said, "We were called at dawn, and there was 'Abdullah b. 'Amr, and there was a woman from Banu al-Mughirah called Fatimah. I heard 'Abdullah b. 'Amr say, 'That is Yazid b. Mu'awiyah.' She said, 'Is that so, O 'Abdullah b. 'Amr? Do you find him written in the Book?' He said, 'I do not find him by name, but I find a man from the tree of Mu'awiyah who sheds blood, makes wealth lawful to be seized, and demolishes this House stone by stone. If that happens while I am alive, then [you will see]; otherwise, remember me.'" He said, "Her dwelling was on Abu Qubays. When the time of al-Hajjaj and Ibn al-Zubayr came, and she saw the House being demolished, she said, 'May Allah have mercy on 'Abdullah b. 'Amr; he had told us about this.'"
