أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْجَلَّابُ بِهَمْدَانَ ثَنَا هِلَالُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الرَّقِّيُّ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مُرَّةَ عَنْ خَيْثَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ كُنَّا عِنْدَ حُذَيْفَةَ فَقَالَ بَعْضُنَا حَدِّثْنَا يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مَا
سَمِعْتَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ لَوْ فَعَلْتُ لَرَجَمْتُمُونِي قَالَ قُلْنَا سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ أَنَحْنُ نَفْعَلُ ذَلِكَ؟ قَالَ «أَرَأَيْتَكُمْ لَوْ حَدَّثْتُكُمْ أَنَّ بَعْضَ أُمَّهَاتِكُمْ تَأْتِيكُمْ فِي كَتِيبَةٍ كَثِيرٍ عَدَدُهَا شَدِيدٍ بَأْسُهَا صَدَقْتُمْ بِهِ؟» قَالُوا سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَمَنْ يُصَدِّقُ بِهَذَا؟ ثُمَّ قَالَ حُذَيْفَةُ «أَتَتْكُمُ الْحُمَيْرَاءُ فِي كَتِيبَةٍ يَسُوقُهَا أَعْلَاجُهَا حَيْثُ تَسُوءُ وُجُوهَكُمْ» ثُمَّ قَامَ فَدَخَلَ مَخْدَعًا

✧ Have you heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He said: 'If I did, you would stone me.' He said: We said: 'Glory be to Allah! Would we do that?' He said: 'Consider, if I narrated to you that one of your mothers would come to you in a battalion, numerous in number, severe in might, would you believe it?' They said: 'Glory be to Allah! Who would believe this?' Then Hudhayfah said: 'The Humayra' will come to you in a battalion driven by its non-Arabs, where it will displease your faces.' Then he stood up and entered a private room.
