✧ I heard Abdullah b. Umar saying: We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ when he mentioned tribulations and spoke much about them, until he mentioned the tribulation of the saddlecloths. A man said, 'What is the tribulation of the saddlecloths?' He said, 'It is a tribulation of flight and war. Then the tribulation of the dark one—or the prosperous one. Then the people will make peace upon a man like a hip upon a rib. Then the tribulation of the dark, overwhelming one, which will not leave anyone of this community except that it will slap him with a slap. When it is said that it has ended, it continues. A man will be a believer in the morning and a disbeliever in the evening, until the people become divided into two camps: a camp of faith with no hypocrisy in it, and a camp of hypocrisy with no faith in it. When that happens, then await the Dajjal from that day or the next.'
