✧ I wish that when my family ate their evening meal and drank their evening drink, they would wake up dead on their beds. It was said, 'O Abu so-and-so, are you not wealthy?' He said, 'Yes, but I heard Abu Dharr say: Soon, O son of my brother, if you live a little longer, you will see a man envied for his light circumstances as today the father of ten men is envied. Soon, if you live a little longer, you will see a man whom the ruler does not know, nor brings near, nor honors being envied as today the one whom the ruler knows, brings near, and honors is envied. Soon, O son of my brother, if you live a little longer, a funeral will pass through the market, and a man will raise his head and say, Would that I were on its bier.' He said: I said, 'Do you know what is wrong with them?' He said, 'Because of what has been.' I said, 'That is before a tremendous matter.' He said, 'Yes, tremendous, tremendous, tremendous.'
