- Abū ʿAbdullāh al-Ḥākim
in المستدرك على الصحيحين, p. 811 - Ibn Ḥajar al-ʿAsqalānī
machine translationIt contains Umayyah, a shaykh of Sulaymān al-Taymī, who narrated it for him from Abū Mijlaz. He is unknown (lā yuʿraf); Abū Dāwūd said this in the narration of al-Ramlī from him. In the narration of al-Ṭaḥāwī, from Sulaymān, from Abū Mijlaz, he said: "I did not hear it from him." But in al-Ḥākim's version he is omitted. The narration of al-Ṭaḥāwī indicates that he was a concealer of defects in transmission (mudallis).
machine translationThe authentic (ṣaḥīḥ) version is from al-Taymī, from a man, from Abū Mijlaz, from Ibn ʿUmar.
