✧ The first surah in which a prostration was revealed was al-Hajj. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ recited it and prostrated, and the people prostrated, except for a man who took some dust and prostrated upon it. I saw him later killed as a disbeliever. Zakariyya b. Abi Za'idah followed him from Abu Ishaq in this manner, according to their conditions.
