✧ Regarding this verse: {O you who believe, upon you is [responsibility for] yourselves. Those who have gone astray will not harm you when you have been guided} [al-Ma'idah 105]. Abu Tha'labah said: You have asked about it one who is well-informed. I asked the Messenger of Allah ﷺ about it before, and he said: "O Abu Tha'labah, enjoin good and forbid evil. Then when you see miserliness obeyed, desire followed, the world preferred, and you see a matter that you must necessarily seek, then upon you is [to look after] yourself and leave them and their common people. For behind you are days of patience; patience during them is like grasping a live coal. The one who acts [righteously] during them will have the reward of fifty who do the like of his deed."
