حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْحَافِظُ بِهَمْدَانَ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ ثَنَا أَبُو الْيَمَانِ ثَنَا عُفَيْرُ بْنُ مَعْدَانَ عَنْ سُلَيْمِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ

إِنَّ الْعَبْدَ إِذَا مَرِضَ أَوْحَى اللَّهُ إِلَى مَلَائِكَتِهِ يَا مَلَائِكَتِي أَنَا قَيَّدْتُ عَبْدِي بِقَيْدٍ مِنْ قُيُودِي فَإِنْ أَقْبِضْهُ أَغْفِرْ لَهُ وَإِنْ أُعَافِهِ فَحِينَئِذٍ يَقْعُدُ وَلَا ذَنْبَ لَهُ

✧ When a servant falls ill, Allah reveals to His angels: “O My angels, I have bound My servant with one of My bonds. If I take his soul, I will forgive him; and if I restore him to health, then he will sit with no sin upon him.”
