حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سَمْعَانَ قَالَ

أَتَانَا أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ فِي مَسْجِدِ بَنِي زُرَيْقٍ فَقَالَ ثَلَاثاً كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُنَّ تَرَكَهُنَّ النَّاسُ «يَرْفَعُ يَدَيْهِ حَتَّى جَاوَزَتَا أُذُنَيْهِ وَيَسْكُتُ بَعْدَ الْقِرَاءَةِ هُنَيْهَةً يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ مِنْ فَضْلِهِ»

✧ Abu Hurayrah came to us in the mosque of Banu Zurayq and said three things that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to do which the people have abandoned: he would raise his hands until they passed his ears, and he would remain silent after the recitation for a short while, asking Allah of His bounty.
