✧ A wind overtook the people on the road to Makkah while Umar ibn al-Khattab was performing Hajj, and it intensified upon them. Umar ibn al-Khattab said to those around him, "What is the wind?" They did not answer him. I learned what Umar had asked about, so I urged my mount until I caught up with him and said, "O Commander of the Faithful, I was informed that you asked about the wind, and I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'The wind is from the spirit of Allah, Exalted is He. It brings mercy and it brings punishment, so do not curse it. Ask Allah for its good and seek refuge in Allah from its evil.'"
