machine translationThis is a ḥadīth with a sound chain (ṣaḥīḥ al-isnād), strange (gharīb) in the section on the teachers of Nāfiʿ, and they (al-Bukhārī and Muslim) did not include it in their collections. "Two ḥadīths on this subject have been narrated from the Commander of the Believers ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib, which Muḥammad b. ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. Abī Laylā alone narrated from his forefathers. As for the first of them:" Authentic (ṣaḥīḥ), strange (gharīb).
