✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade people from sitting in the courtyards of elevated pathways. They said, “We cannot help it and we cannot endure that, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “If you must, then give them their due.” They said, “What is their due, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “Returning the greeting, invoking mercy on the sneezer when he praises Allah, lowering the gaze, and guiding the way.”
