✧ The Prophet ﷺ and his Companions passed by a woman, and she slaughtered a sheep for them and prepared food for them. When he returned, she said, “O Messenger of Allah, we prepared food for you, so enter and eat.” The Prophet ﷺ and his Companions entered, and they would not begin until the Prophet ﷺ began. He took a morsel but could not swallow it, so the Prophet ﷺ said, “This is a sheep slaughtered without the permission of its owners.” The woman said, “O Prophet of Allah, we do not feel shy before the family of Mu‘adh, nor do they feel shy before us. We take from them and they take from us.”
