حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا بَحْرُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ أَخْبَرَنِي حَيْوَةُ عَنْ خَالِدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ الْمَعَافِرِيِّ عَنْ مِشْرَحِ بْنِ هَاعَانَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ

«مَنْ عَلَّقَ تَمِيمَةً فَلَا أَتَمَّ اللَّهُ لَهُ وَمَنْ عَلَّقَ وَدَعَةً فَلَا وَدَعَ اللَّهُ لَهُ»

✧ Whoever hangs an amulet, may Allah not fulfill his need; and whoever hangs a cowry shell, may Allah not give him peace.
