أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو سَهْلٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ النَّحْوِيُّ بِبَغْدَادَ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ عَنْ عَوْفٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ

«أَلَا إِنَّ الْمَرْأَةَ خُلِقَتْ مِنْ ضِلَعٍ وَأَنَّكَ إِنْ تُرِدْ إِقَامَتَهَا تَكْسِرْهَا فَدَارِهَا تَعِشْ بِهَا» ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ

Translation

✧ Indeed, woman was created from a rib. If you try to straighten her, you will break her; so deal gently with her, and you can live with her." (He said it three times.)
