أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزَّاهِدُ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عِيسَى الْقَاضِي ثَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ وَأَبُو حُذَيْفَةَ قَالَا ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ

انْتَهَيْتُ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَهُوَ فِي قُبَّةٍ مِنْ أَدَمٍ حَمْرَاءَ فِي نَحْوٍ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ رَجُلًا فَقَالَ «إِنَّهُ مَفْتُوحٌ لَكُمْ وَأَنْتُمْ مَنْصُورُونَ مُصِيبُونَ فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ فَلْيَتَّقِ اللَّهَ وَلْيَأْمُرْ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ وَلْيَنْهَ عَنِ الْمُنْكَرِ وَلْيَصِلْ رَحِمَهُ وَمَثَلُ الَّذِي يُعِينُ قَوْمَهُ عَلَى غَيْرِ الْحَقِّ كَمَثَلِ الْبَعِيرِ يَتَرَدَّى فَهُوَ يَمُدُّ بِذَنَبِهِ»

✧ I came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a red leather tent with about forty men, and he said: “Indeed, it will be opened for you, and you will be aided and will hit the mark. Whoever of you reaches that should fear God, enjoin what is right, forbid what is wrong, and maintain his womb-tie. The likeness of one who helps his people on falsehood is like a camel that is falling into a well while pulling it by its tail.”
