حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَحْمَدُ عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ هَارُونَ أَنْبَأَ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ قَالَ قَالَ اللَّهُ ﷻ أَنَا الرَّحْمَنُ وَهِيَ الرَّحِمُ فَمَنْ وَصَلَهَا وَصَلْتُهُ وَمَنْ قَطَعَهَا قَطَعْتُهُ
Translation

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah ﷻ said: I am al-Rahman (the Most Merciful), and it is al-rahim (the womb/tie of kinship). Whoever maintains it, I maintain him, and whoever severs it, I sever him."

«هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحٌ عَلَى شَرْطِ مُسْلِمٍ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» وَقَدْ رُوِيَ بِأَسَانِيدَ وَاضِحَةٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَسَعِيدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ نُفَيْلٍ وَعَائِشَةَ وَعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو على شرط مسلم

Mūsā b. ʿUqbah narrated it, and there is disagreement about him: Abū Qurrah Mūsā b. Ṭāriq narrated it from Mūsā b. ʿUqbah, from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, from Abū Hurayrah, as a mursal report. The closest of these to the correct one is the version of Warqāʾ, from ʿAbdullāh b. Dīnār, from Saʿīd b. Yasār, from Abū Hurayrah, because the hadith is preserved (maḥfūẓ) from him. Muʿāwiyah b. Abī al-Muzarrid also narrated it from Saʿīd b. Yasār, from Abū Hurayrah.
