حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أَحْمَدَ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ ثَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ إِيَاسٍ عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ كَانُوا يَكْرَهُونَ
أَنْ يُرَخِّصُوا لِأَنْسَابِهِمْ وَهُمْ مُشْرِكُونَ فَنَزَلَتْ {لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ هُدَاهُمْ} [البقرة 272] حَتَّى بَلَغَ {وَمَا تُنْفِقُوا مِنْ خَيْرٍ فَإِنَّ اللَّهُ بِهِ عَلِيمٌ} [البقرة 273] فَرُخِّصَ لَهُمْ سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ That they be allowed to give to their relatives while they were polytheists. Then it was revealed: {It is not upon you to guide them} [Al-Baqarah 272] until it reached {And whatever you spend of good, indeed Allah is Knowing of it} [Al-Baqarah 273]. So permission was granted to them. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
