✧ The Drinks: The Hadith of Hisham b. Urwah, as narrated by his father

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ السَّيَّارِيُّ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هِلَالٍ أَنْبَأَ عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ شَقِيقٍ أَنْبَأَ الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو نَهِيكٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَمْرَو بْنَ أَخْطَبَ قَالَ

اسْتَسْقَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَأَتَيْتُهُ بِمَاءٍ فَكَانَتْ فِيهِ شَعْرَةٌ فَأَخَذْتُهَا فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «اللَّهُمَّ جَمِّلْهُ» قَالَ «فَرَأَيْتُهُ وَهُوَ ابْنُ أَرْبَعٍ وَتِسْعِينَ سَنَةً وَمَا فِي رَأْسِهِ طَاقَةً بَيْضَاءَ»

✧ The Prophet ﷺ asked for water, and I brought him some water in which there was a hair. I removed it, and the Prophet ﷺ said, "O Allah, beautify him." He said, "I saw him when he was ninety-four years old, and there was not a single white hair on his head."

  • هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ صحيح
