✧ Al-Qa'nabi narrated to us, in what he read to Malik, from Ayyub b. Habib, the freedman of Banu Zuhrah, from Abu al-Muthanna al-Juhani, who said: I was sitting with Marwan b. al-Hakam when Abu Sa'id al-Khudri entered. Marwan said to him, "Did you hear the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbidding blowing into a drink?" He said, "Yes." A man said to him, "I cannot quench my thirst with one breath." He said, "Remove the vessel from your mouth, then breathe." He said, "What if I see a speck of dirt?" He said, "Spill it out."
