✧ The people of the pre-Islamic era used to eat certain things and leave certain things out of disgust. Then Allah Almighty sent His Prophet ﷺ and revealed His Book, making lawful what He declared lawful and unlawful what He declared unlawful. So whatever He made lawful is lawful, whatever He made unlawful is unlawful, and whatever He was silent about is pardoned. Then he recited this verse: {Say, "I do not find within that which was revealed to me [anything] forbidden to one who would eat it..."} [Al-An'am 145] to the end of the verse.
