أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو عَوْنٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ مَاهَانَ الْبَزَّارُ بِمَكَّةَ حَرَسَهَا اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَلَى الصَّفَا ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَنْصُورٍ ثَنَا شَرِيكُ عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ عَنْ حَنَشٍ عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ

بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى الْيَمَنِ فَقُلْتُ تَبْعَثُنِي إِلَى قَوْمٍ ذَوِي أَسْنَانٍ وَأَنَا حَدَثُ السِّنِّ قَالَ «إِذَا جَلَسَ إِلَيْكَ الْخَصْمَانِ فَلَا تَقْضِ لِأَحَدِهِمَا حَتَّى تَسْمَعَ مِنَ الْآخَرِ كَمَا سَمِعْتَ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِ» قَالَ عَلِيٌّ فَمَا زِلْتُ قَاضِيًا

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent me to Yemen. I said: "You are sending me to a people of mature age while I am young." He said: "When the two litigants sit before you, do not judge for one of them until you hear from the other as you heard from the first." Ali said: "I have continued to be a judge ever since."

  • «هَذَا حَدِيثٌ صَحِيحُ الْإِسْنَادِ وَلَمْ يُخَرِّجَاهُ» صحيح
