حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْحَكَمِ ثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ اللَّيْثِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ أَنَّ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ

لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ أَمِّرْنِي فَقَالَ «إِنَّكَ ضَعِيفٌ وَإِنَّهَا أَمَانَةٌ وَإِنَّهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ خِزْيٌ وَنَدَامَةٌ»

✧ He said to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ: "Appoint me as a commander." He said: "You are weak, and it is a trust, and on the Day of Resurrection it will be disgrace and regret."
