فَحَدَّثْنَاهُ أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الصَّغَانِيُّ ثَنَا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ ثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ عَنْ سَالِمٍ أَبِي النَّضْرِ عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ قَالَتْ

جَاءَتْ فَاطِمَةُ بِنْتُ قَيْسٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ إِنِّي أُسْتَحَاضُ قَالَ «لَيْسَ ذَاكَ بِالْحَيْضِ إِنَّمَا هُوَ عِرْقٌ لِتَقْعُدْ أَيَّامَ أَقْرَائِهَا ثُمَّ تَغْتَسِلْ ثُمَّ تَسْتَثْفِرْ بِثَوْبٍ وَتُصَلِّي»

✧ Fatimah bt. Qays came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said, 'I have istihadah.' He said, 'That is not menstruation; it is only a vein. Let her refrain from prayer for the days of her regular periods, then perform ghusl, then fasten a cloth and pray.'
