أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو الْعَبَّاسِ الْمَحْبُوبِيُّ ثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْعُودٍ ثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُوسَى عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ قَالَتْ
«خَطَبَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ فَاعْتَذَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ فَعَذَرَنِي» ثُمَّ أَنْزَلَ اللَّهُ ﷻ {يَا أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ إِنَّا أَحْلَلْنَا لَكَ أَزْوَاجَكَ اللَّاتِي آتَيْتَ أُجُورَهُنَّ} [الأحزاب 50] إِلَى قَوْلِهِ {اللَّاتِي هَاجَرْنَ مَعَكَ} [الأحزاب 50] قَالَتْ «فَلَمْ أُحِلَّ لَهُ لِأَنِّي لَمْ أُهَاجِرْ مَعَهُ كُنْتُ مِنَ الطُّلَقَاءِ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ proposed to me, and I excused myself to him, and he accepted my excuse." Then Allah, Mighty and Majestic, revealed: "O Prophet, indeed We have made lawful to you your wives to whom you have given their due compensation" (Al-Ahzab 50) up to His saying, "those who emigrated with you" (Al-Ahzab 50). She said, "I was not made lawful for him, because I did not emigrate with him; I was among the Tulaqa' (those freed on the day of the conquest)." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
