حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ ثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ الْجَهْمِ ثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ الْفَرَجِ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ قَالَ وَفِيمَا ذُكِرَ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ﷺ خَطَبَ إِلَى عَمِّهِ أَبِي طَالِبٍ أُمَّ هَانِئٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُوحَى إِلَيْهِ وَخَطَبَهَا مَعَهُ هُبَيْرَةُ بْنُ أَبِي وَهْبٍ فَزَوَّجَهَا هُبَيْرَةَ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ «يَا عُمَرُ زَوَّجْتَ هُبَيْرَةَ وَتَرَكْتَنِي» فَقَالَ يَا ابْنَ أَخِي أَنَا صَاهَرْتُ إِلَيْهِمْ وَالْكَرِيمُ يُكَافِئُ الْكَرِيمَ ثُمَّ أَسْلَمَتْ فَفَرَّقَ الْإِسْلَامُ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ هُبَيْرَةَ فَخَطَبَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ ﷺ إِلَى نَفْسِهَا فَقَالَتْ وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي كُنْتُ لَأُحِبُّكَ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَكَيْفَ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ لَكِنِّي امْرَأَةٌ مُصْبِيَةٌ فَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُؤْذُوكَ الْحَدِيثَحذفه الذهبي من التلخيص

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ proposed to his uncle Abu Talib for Umm Hani' before revelation came to him, and Hubayrah b. Abi Wahb proposed to her along with him, so he married her to Hubayrah. The Prophet ﷺ said to him, "O Umar, you married Hubayrah and left me." He said, "O nephew, I made a marriage alliance with them, and the noble man rewards the noble man." Then she embraced Islam, and Islam separated her from Hubayrah. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ proposed to her for herself, and she said, "By Allah, I used to love you in the pre-Islamic era, so how much more in Islam? However, I am a woman with young children, and I dislike that they should annoy you." Al-Dhahabi deleted it from the Talkhis.
