أَخْبَرَنَاهُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ ثَنَا أَبُو هَمَّامٍ حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ وَهْبٍ عَنْ يُونُسَ عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ قَالَ
«تُوُفِّيَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ هِلَالِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ صَعْصَعَةَ وَهِيَ أُمُّ الْمَسَاكِينِ كَانَتْ تُسَمَّى بِهِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ تُوُفِّيَتْ بِالْمَدِينَةِ بَعْدَ الْهِجْرَةِ فِي حَيَاةِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ» سكت عنه الذهبي في التلخيص

✧ "Zaynab bt. Khuzayma b. al-Harith b. Abd Allah b. Amr b. Abd Manaf b. Hilal b. Amir b. Sa'sa'a died. She was Umm al-Masakin (Mother of the Poor), as she was called in the pre-Islamic era. She died in Madinah after the Hijrah during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ." (Al-Dhahabi was silent about this in the Talkhis.)
