قالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: وحَدَّثَنِي أبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أبِي سَبْرَةَ، عَنْ أبِي مُوسى، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أبِي سَلِيطٍ، قالَ
رَأيْتُ أبا أحْمَدَ بْنَ جَحْشٍ، يَحْمِلُ سَرِيرَ زَيْنَبَ وهُوَ مَكْفُوفٌ وهُوَ يَبْكِي، وأسْمَعُ عُمَرَ، يَقُولُ: يا أبا أحْمَدَ، تَنَحَّ عَنِ السَّرِيرِ لا يُعْنِتْكَ النّاسُ عَلى سَرِيرِها، فَقالَ أبُو أحْمَدَ: «هَذِهِ الَّتِي نِلْنا بِها كُلَّ خَيْرٍ وإنَّ هَذا يُبَرِّدُ حَرَّ ما أجِدُ»، فَقالَ عُمَرُ ﵁: الزَمُ الزَمْ

✧ I saw Abu Ahmad b. Jahsh carrying Zaynab's bier while he was blind and weeping, and I heard 'Umar saying: "O Abu Ahmad, move away from the bier lest the people press you against her bier." Abu Ahmad said: "This is the one through whom we attained every good. This cools the heat of what I feel." 'Umar ؓ said: "Stay close, stay close."
