قالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ: وحَدَّثَنِي أبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أبِي سَبْرَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الهادِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إبْراهِيمَ بْنِ الحارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ، قالَ

«أوْصَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ جَحْشٍ، أنْ تُحْمَلَ عَلى سَرِيرِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ ويُجْعَلَ عَلَيْهِ نَعْشٌ» وقِيلَ حُمِلَ عَلَيْهِ أبُو بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ ﵁ «ومَرَّ عُمَرُ بْنُ الخَطّابِ، ﵁ عَلى حَفّارِينَ يَحْفِرُونَ قَبْرَ زَيْنَبَ فِي يَوْمِ صائِفٍ فَقالَ: «لَوْ أنِّي ضَرَبْتُ عَلَيْهِمْ فُسْطاطًا» وكانَ أوَّلَ فُسْطاطٍ ضُرِبَ عَلى قَبْرٍ بِالبَقِيعِ»

✧ Zaynab bt. Jahsh bequeathed that she be carried on the bier of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and that a funerary frame be placed over it." It is also said that Abu Bakr al-Siddiq ؓ was carried on it. "'Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ passed by gravediggers who were digging Zaynab's grave on a hot day and said: 'If only I had set up a tent over them.' That was the first tent set up over a grave in al-Baqi'."
