✧ The Prophet ﷺ sent me on an army that included Abū Bakr and ʿUmar. When I returned, I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, who is the most beloved of people to you?' He said, 'What do you want with that?' I said, 'O Messenger of Allah, I want to know.' He said, 'ʿĀʾishah.' I said, 'I mean among men.' He said, 'Her father.' Al-Dhahabī remained silent about it in the Talkhīṣ.
