حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثنا مُسَبِّحُ بْنُ حَاتِمٍ الْعُكْلِيُّ بِالْبَصْرَةِ ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حَفْصٍ الْقُرَشِيُّ حَدَّثَنِي حَمَّادٌ الْأَرْقَطُ رَجُلٌ صَالِحٌ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ زَوْجِ خَيْرَةَ عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ قَالَ
قُلْتُ لِعَائِشَةَ تَقُولِينَ الشِّعْرَ وَأَنْتِ ابْنَةُ الصِّدِّيقِ وَلَا تُبَالِينَ وَتَقُولِينَ الطِّبَّ فَمَا عِلْمُكَ فِيهِ؟ فَقَالَتْ «إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ كَانَ يَسْقَمُ فَتَفِدُ عَلَيْهِ وفُودُ الْعَرَبِ فَيَصِفُونَ لَهُ فَأَحْفَظُ ذَلِكَ» حذفه الذهبي من التلخيص

✧ I said to ʿĀʾishah, 'You recite poetry, being the daughter of al-Ṣiddīq, and you do not care, and you speak about medicine. What is your knowledge of it?' She said, 'The Prophet ﷺ used to fall ill, and delegations of the Arabs would come to him and describe remedies, and I would memorize that.' Al-Dhahabī omitted it from the Talkhīṣ.
