حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو بَكْرٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ بَالَوَيْهِ ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْحَرْبِيُّ قَالَ
«أَبُو الْعَاصِ بْنُ الرَّبِيعِ زَوْجُ بِنْتِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ وَابْنُ خَالَتِهَا أُمُّهُ هَالَةُ بِنْتُ خُوَيْلِدٍ أُخْتُ خَدِيجَةَ وَاسْمُ أَبِي الْعَاصِ مُهَشَّمٌ وَكَانَ يُلَقَّبُ بِجِرْوِ الْبَطْحَاءِ وَوَلَدَتْ زَيْنَبُ بِنْتُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ لِأَبِي الْعَاصِ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ وَأُمَامَةَ بِنْتَ أَبِي الْعَاصِ وَتُوُفِّيَ أَبُو الْعَاصِ سَنَةَ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ فِي خِلَافَةِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ؓ »
Translation

✧ "Abu al-'As b. al-Rabi' was the husband of the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and the son of her maternal aunt; his mother was Halah bt. Khuwaylid, the sister of Khadijah. Abu al-'As's name was Muhashsham, and he was nicknamed Jirw al-Batha'. Zaynab, the daughter of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, bore to Abu al-'As 'Ali b. Abi al-'As and Umamah bt. Abi al-'As. Abu al-'As died in the year eleven during the caliphate of Abu Bakr ؓ."
