أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَلَّامٍ ثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ قَالَ
«الْحَارِثُ ابْنُ الْبَرْصَاءِ هُوَ الْحَارِثُ بْنُ مَالِكِ بْنِ قَيْسِ بْنِ عُوَيْذِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ مَنَافِ بْنِ أَشْجَعَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ لَيْثٍ وَأُمُّهُ الْبَرْصَاءُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْهِلَالِيَّةُ أَقَامَ بِمَكَّةَ ثُمَّ نَزَلَ الْكُوفَةَ»

✧ Al-Harith b. al-Barsa is al-Harith b. Malik b. Qays b. Uwaydh b. Abd Allah b. Jabir b. Abd Manaf b. Ashja b. Amir b. Layth. His mother was al-Barsa bt. Abd Allah b. Rabiah al-Hilaliyyah. He stayed in Makkah, then settled in Kufa.
