✧ And al-Aḥnaf ibn Qays ibn Ḥuṣayn ibn al-Nazzāl ibn ʿUbaydah was a mukhaḍram; he met the Prophet ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent for him and supplicated for him. He said: “The name of al-Aḥnaf is al-Ḍaḥḥāk, and it is said Ṣakhr ibn Qays ibn Muʿāwiyah ibn Ḥuṣayn. He was born with a curvature in his legs.” His mother said: “By Allah, were it not for a curvature in his leg, there would be no boy in the tribe like him.” He was the most forbearing of the Arabs.
