أَخْبَرَنِي أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الثَّقَفِيُّ ثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ثَنَا خَلِيفَةُ بْنُ خَيَّاطٍ قَالَ
«وَمِنْ حُلَفَاءِ بَنِي هَاشِمِ مِنْ غَيْرِ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ شَدَّادُ بْنُ الْهَادِ وَشَدَّادُ سَلَفٌ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ ﷺ كَانَتْ عِنْدَهُ سُلْمَى بِنْتُ عُمَيْسٍ خَلَفَ عَلَيْهَا بَعْدَ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ؓ »
Translation

✧ And among the allies of Banu Hashim who were not from the people of Badr was Shaddad b. al-Had. Shaddad was a relative by marriage of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ; Salma bt. 'Umays was with him, and he married her after Hamza b. 'Abd al-Muttalib ؓ.
