أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ ثَنَا أَبُو عُلَاثَةَ ثَنَا أَبِي ثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ ثَنَا أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ عَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ
«فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ زِيَادُ بْنُ لَبِيدِ بْنِ ثَعْلَبَةَ بْنِ سِنَانِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ عَدِيِّ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ بْنِ بَيَاضَةَ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ زُرَيْقٍ أُمُّهُ بِنْتُ عَبْدِ مُضَرِّبِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَمَاتَ فِي أَوَّلِ خِلَافَةِ مُعَاوِيَةَ فِي سَمَاعِي مِنْ تَارِيخِ شَبَّابٍ»

✧ "Regarding the naming of those who witnessed Badr from the Ansar: Ziyad b. Labid b. Tha'labah b. Sinan b. 'Amir b. 'Adi b. Umayyah b. Bayadah b. 'Amir b. Zurayq. His mother was the daughter of 'Abd Mudarrib b. al-Harith b. Zayd b. 'Ubayd b. 'Amr b. 'Awf. And he died at the beginning of the caliphate of Mu'awiyah, according to what I heard from the history of Shabab."
