✧ I entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ during the expedition to Tabuk at the end of the night while he was in his tent. I greeted him and said, "Shall I enter, O Messenger of Allah?" He said, "Enter." I said, "All of me?" He said, "All of you." Then he said ﷺ, "Six things before the Hour. The first of them is the death of your Prophet. Say 'one.'" I said, "One." "The second is the conquest of the House of the Sanctuary (Jerusalem). Say 'two.'" I said, "Two." Then he said, "The third is a death that will take you like the sudden death of sheep. Say 'three.'" I said, "Three." He said, "The fourth is that wealth will overflow among you, so that a man will be given a hundred dinars and he will remain displeased with it. Say 'four.'" I said, "Four." "The fifth is a trial that will occur among you, such that scarcely a house of hair or clay will remain among you but it will enter it. Say 'five.'" I said, "Five." "And the sixth is a truce between you and the Banu al-Asfar (Byzantines). They will gather against you with the force of a pregnant woman's full term, then they will betray you and come upon you in eighty banners, each banner with twelve thousand men." Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
