✧ "We visited al-Laythi during the illness in which he died, and he died, so we buried him in Makkah in the cemetery of the Muhajirun at Fakhkh. It was called the cemetery of the Muhajirun because those who had come to Madinah and then performed Hajj and stayed as neighbors and died in Makkah were buried there. Among them were Abu Waqid al-Laythi, 'Abdullah b. 'Umar, and others. Abu Waqid al-Laythi died in the year sixty-eight, at the age of eighty-five."
