✧ We were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in one of his expeditions, and the people panicked. I went out with my weapon upon me, and I looked at Salim, the mawla of Abu Hudhayfah, with his weapon upon him, walking with tranquility upon him. I said: I will certainly follow the example of this righteous man, until he came and sat at the door of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and I sat with him. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ came out angry and said: 'O people, what is this haste? What is this luxury? Are you unable to do as these two believing men did?'
