أَخْبَرَنَا الشَّيْخُ أَبُو بَكْرٍ أَنْبَأَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ
ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ قَالَا «مَاتَ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ الْأَشْعَثُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْكِنْدِيُّ مِنْ بَنِي الْحَارِثِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ بِالْكُوفَةِ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ بِهَا بَعْدَ صُلْحِ مُعَاوِيَةَ إِيَّاهُ فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ ؓ »

✧ Abu Bakr b. Abi Shaybah and Muhammad b. Abdullah b. Numayr narrated to us, they both said: 'Abu Muhammad al-Ash'ath b. Qays al-Kindi, of the Banu al-Harith b. Mu'awiyah, died in Kufa, and al-Hasan b. Ali was there after Mu'awiyah made peace with him, so al-Hasan b. Ali ؓ prayed over him.'
