أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ حَلِيمٍ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ ثنا أَبُو الْمُوَجِّهِ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدَانُ أَنْبَأَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ نَافِعٍ عَنْ كَثِيرِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ أَبِي سَهْلٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَتْنِي مُسَّةُ الْأَزْدِيَّةُ قَالَتْ حَجَجْتُ فَدَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ فَقُلْتُ يَا أُمَّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ إِنَّ سَمُرَةَ بْنَ جُنْدُبٍ يَأْمُرُ النِّسَاءَ يَقْضِينَ صَلَاةَ الْحَيْضِ فَقَالَتْ
«لَا يَقْضِينَ كَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ نِسَاءِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ تَقْعُدُ فِي النِّفَاسِ أَرْبَعِينَ لَيْلَةً لَا يَأْمُرَهَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ بِقَضَاءِ صَلَاةِ النِّفَاسِ»

✧ "They do not make up [the prayers]. A woman among the wives of the Prophet ﷺ would remain in her post-natal period for forty nights, and the Prophet ﷺ did not command her to make up the prayers of the post-natal period."
