سَمِعْتُ أَبَا الْعَبَّاسِ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ يَعْقُوبَ يَقُولُ سَمِعْتُ الْعَبَّاسَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ الدُّورِيَّ يَقُولُ
سَمِعْتُ يَحْيَى بْنَ مَعِينٍ يَقُولُ «مَعْقِلُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ الْأَشْجَعِيُّ شَهِدَ الْفَتْحَ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَقُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْحَرَّةِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ»

✧ I heard Yahya b. Ma'in say: 'Ma'qil b. Sinan al-Ashja'i witnessed the conquest with the Prophet ﷺ and was killed on the day of al-Harrah in the year sixty-three.'
