أَخْبَرَنِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْفَضْلِ الشَّعْرَانِيُّ ثَنَا جَدِّي ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ الْحِزَامِيُّ قَالَ
«مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ الْقَارِيُّ مِنْ بَنِي النَّجَّارِ يُكَنَّى أَبَا الْحَارِثِ بْنِ الْحُبَابِ بْنِ الْأَرْقَمِ بْنِ عَوْفِ بْنِ مَالِكِ بْنِ النَّجَّارِ وَهُوَ مُعَاذٌ الْقَارِيُّ يُكَنَّى أَبَا الْحَارِثِ قُتِلَ يَوْمَ الْحَرَّةِ فِي ذِي الْحِجَّةِ سَنَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَسِتِّينَ ؓ »

✧ Mu'adh b. al-Harith al-Qari, of the Banu al-Najjar, had the kunya Abu al-Harith b. al-Hubab b. al-Arqam b. 'Awf b. Malik b. al-Najjar; he is Mu'adh al-Qari, kunya Abu al-Harith. He was killed on the day of al-Harrah in Dhu al-Hijjah, year sixty-three ؓ.
