✧ No one among the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ narrated more hadith from him than Abu Hurayrah, and Marwan sent him over Madinah and wanted his hadith, so he said: 'Narrate as we narrated.' When he refused, he took him unawares and seated a scribe for him, and Abu Hurayrah began narrating while the scribe wrote until he exhausted all his hadith. Then Marwan said: 'Do you know that we have written all of your hadith?' He said: 'You have done it? If you obey me, you will erase it.' So he erased it. Al-Dhahabi remained silent about it in the Talkhis.
